General Information

Used to treat recurrent outbreaks of cold sores.

Ask your healthcare professional about this product.

Ingredients:

Each tablet contains: Famciclovir 500 mg

Directions:

Adults 18 years of age and over: Take all 3 tablets in this pack as a single dose with or without food. Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. Take as soon as possible after the first symptoms (e.g. tingling, itching or burning) or signs (e.g. redness, swelling) of a cold sore appearing.

Do not repeat treatment within 7 days.

Store below 25 °C in a dry place.

Do not use Pharmacy Health Favir for Cold Sores:

• if you have an allergy to famciclovir, penciclovir, or to any of the ingredients in the product.
• if you have problems with your immune system.
• if you have kidney problems unless advised by a doctor.
• To treat children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
• If blister seal is broken
  

Consult your pharmacist or doctor before use if you:

• have high blood pressure, heart problems, liver problems, diabetes or other medical conditions.
• are taking other medicines regularly.
• have symptoms and signs of an infection other than your cold sore.
• are pregnant or may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
  

Do not repeat treatment within 7 days. If your cold sore symptoms do not improve within a few days, or if they become worse, tell your pharmacist or doctor.
